Artist Meg Vanderbilt
Meg Vanderbilt Meg Vanderbilt is a self taught artist whose passion for nature and painting began at a young age. She was blessed to have parents who enjoyed the outdoors and introduced her to many “adventures” early in life. At age 12 she completed her first mural on her bedroom wall of a horse on a beach. It was a surprise to her parents as well. Working with horses, having many dogs and raising three children give her plenty of subject matter. She loves using acrylics to paint landscapes and animals. Meg’s art portrays a feeling of openness and freshness often found in nature. She started and owns her own business, MegaMurals. Much of her work can be found in churches, businesses, and homes. Meg hopes that all of her work will bring glory to God. “He is the one who came up with the landscapes…just read the Bible, my challenge is to try to capture them on a two dimensional surface. ” Meg lives with her wonderful, supportive husband, three children, and three black labs in Gaston County.
