Artist Ann White
Ann White was born in Lincoln County, N.C. She and her husband moved to Greenville, S.C. in 1959 and then moved to North Carolina in 2002.
She studied interior design for two years and then decided she really wanted to paint. She has had a love for art all her life. She chose the medium of water color because of its wonderful transparency.
She Studied at Greenville Art Museum and Tempo Gallery. She has also taken workshops with artist Jim Kosvanec, Carl Dallo, Naomi Brotherton, Margaret Martin, Al Stine, and Don Andrews.
She has been in shows, and won numerous awards, including many purchase awards.
Ann was a member of Upstate Visual Arts in Greenville S.C. and is now a member of Gaston County Art Guild. She now has a studio in her home. Her work is in Montreat Gift Store, Montreat N.C. and also Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, Gastonia N.C.
