Artist Lori McAdams

Lori McAdams is an artist and illustrator in Belmont, North Carolina. She has a BFA from Parsons School of Design, and is currently working on her masters (MA) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Lori's fine art has been exhibited by the Kings Mountain Art Center in Kings Mountain, NC, and the Jeanne Rauch Gallery at Gaston College in Dallas, NC.

She creates her illustrations in watercolor, acrylics, or pen & ink. Her fine art is also created in these mediums, as well as in oil, colored pencil, and intaglio. Her main sources of inspiration are myth, folklore, fantasy, speculative fiction, and the beauty of the Charlotte region.

Her recent illustration works (since 2000) have included book covers targeted for young adults, fantasy, and sales motivation, and one children's book. Other illustrations have been for commercial advertising and non-profit
event promotions.

Lori and her husband David Turner live in Belmont, North Carolina with their five feline children.
